Sales & client calls

The private word that currently happens in Slack on a second screen

Every competitor forces a quiet aside into a second tool — unrecorded, out of context, on another device. Whisper keeps it in the meeting where it belongs.

Two colleagues conferring during a client video call

Everybody already does this. Badly.

Watch any real client call and there is a second conversation running alongside it — in Slack, in WhatsApp, in a text message under the desk. "Don't quote that number yet." "She's the decision maker, not him." "Wrap up, we're over."

That conversation is load-bearing and every video platform pretends it does not exist. So it happens somewhere unrecorded, out of context, on a different device, with the person looking away from the camera to read it.

Say it inside the meeting instead

Whisper lets you say something to one person — as text, or as a held-to-talk spoken aside — without leaving the meeting, starting a second call, or switching apps. It stays in the meeting context, beside the conversation it is about.

Who this is actually for

In each of these the aside is not an edge case bolted onto the meeting. It is part of how the meeting works.

  • Sales teams on client calls — the highest-value case, and today the most badly served.
  • Interview panels, where a private word between interviewers is completely routine.
  • Legal and advisory work, where counsel needs a word with their client mid-call.
  • Teaching and training, for a quiet correction that does not embarrass anyone.

It sits in a wider layer of intent

Whisper is one part of how Bridge handles things people need to communicate without interrupting. There is an ordered, visible hand-raise queue rather than a raised hand that scrolls out of view. There is a reaction and intent bar that goes past emoji — "I have a question", "I disagree" — queued fairly. Mentions carry a distinct notification, so being addressed by name is unmissable without being noisy.

Signals are audible too, with a distinct sound per category, each independently mutable — so you can keep the one that matters to you and silence the rest.

Frequently asked

Can I whisper by voice, or only by text?

Both. Text, or a held-to-talk spoken aside to one person, without leaving the meeting.

Does whispering interrupt the main conversation?

No. It runs as a side-channel beside the meeting rather than taking you out of it.

How to let a speaker read the room without watching anyone

Zoom shipped attention tracking in 2020 and withdrew it within months. The failure was never the measurement — it was the attribution. Here is the version that survives a works-council review.

Present, thinking, stepped away, or in a tunnel — all four look identical

Meet and Zoom answer exactly one question about each person: in the call, or not. Everything between "here" and "gone" renders as the same confident, motionless rectangle.
